The best Dota 2 sets under $5 are complete hero bundles of three to five pieces. Our July 2026 price data lists 385 of them under $5. Here are eight of them, from Raven of Ristul for Queen of Pain to Song of the Shadow Dragon for Phantom Assassin. Pick a design you like for a hero you play, then check the current price on the set’s page.
Eight good sets under $5
Each set below is Standard quality with a fixed piece count. A set does not always fill every slot on the hero, and it leaves out Arcana, taunts and other global cosmetics shown in a showcase. Prices are around the figures shown in our July 2026 price data; the item and hero set pages show current prices.

Which set suits which player
For a Sniper player starting from default gear, Ghillied Gunman has five pieces at around $0.82 in our July 2026 price data. For a Queen of Pain player who wants a coordinated costume rather than Arcana effects, Raven of Ristul has four pieces at around $0.21. A low price does not tell you the design suits you, so preview the weapon, back item and colours in the game before paying.
Song of the Shadow Dragon sits closest to the limit: $5 − $4.81 leaves only $0.19. A small price change can push it over $5, so check its page first.
Set or separate pieces? The Ghillied Gunman example
Ghillied Gunman has five pieces: Arms, Cape, Nest Cap, Shoulders and Sniper Rifle. In our July 2026 price data they add up to around $0.62 separately, against around $0.82 for the bundle. If you already own the rifle, the other four pieces add up to around $0.32. For this set, separate pieces come out cheaper, but prices move, so compare the contents and totals on the day you buy.
