What is an Immortal?
An Immortal is an effect-bearing cosmetic — an item that adds a distinctive visual flourish to a hero's ability, weapon or animation. Historically most Immortals arrived through treasures tied to The International battle passes, which is why the tier is enormous and instantly recognisable in almost every pub game.
Why most Immortals are cheap and liquid
The defining feature of the Immortal tier is huge supply. Because so many were attached to battle passes bought by tens of thousands of players, copies flooded the market — which makes the typical Immortal both cheap and extremely liquid: easy to buy and easy to sell at a fair price. The golden and rare variants
